I am a recording and mixing engineer from Chico, CA. I’ve worked on records for Armed For Apocalypse, Fialta, Dustin Ruth, The Shimmies, TV Heads, Cold Blue Mountain, Kyle Williams, Amarock, Touch Fuzzy Get Dizzy, the performance audio from the David Bazan documentary Strange Negotiations (still in production) as well as many others.
I taught myself how to record during my stint as guitarist in the Emo/Pop-Punk band Number One Gun (Tooth and Nail Records) as an outlet for songs written in a different vein. After the band dissolved, NOG drummer Jordan Mallory and I began writing and recording under the name Surrogate and eventually released the self-produced Love Is For The Rich on Tooth And Nail Records in 2007. Since then, I’ve recorded or mixed records for a variety of different artists and labels, and in early 2015 began working out of my studio, Cutters Cathedral, full time.
